Found Fantastic Oil Filled Skillet for Cooking Baking on Cloudy Days |

Today when I was cruising around looking for cooking baking supplies online, I ran across this pan that is a stainless steel appliance for cooking baking and learned that it has a layer of oil on the bottom sandwiched between the stainless steel. I was attracted to it because I use radiant oil heaters to heat the house in the winter and they are just fantastic, so I would imagine that this appliance for cooking baking would work just as well. What I like about the radiant oil heaters is that the heat is so steady and even, and they don't use a lot of electricity.
I like to do most of my cooking baking with solar ovens, but I can't always rely on the sun and there's no cooking once it gets low in the sky, either early morning or late afternoon. Solar cooked food tastes much better than conventionally cooked because everything cooks evenly at the same time. There are no hot spots, food cooks evenly, and a little more slowly so the natural sugars in food stay intact better, making the flavor superior.
I would imagine that cooking baking in this Precise Heat™ 3.5qt Oil Core Skillet with High Dome Cover would cook the same way that solar cookers do. It would be a good way for cooking baking when it's too windy, cloudy, or dark for solar cooking, so I'm going to seriously consider buying it. I found it at Good Galley located at www.goodgalley,com, a site featuring two of the things that I'm most interested in: cooking baking and the great outdoors. Two years ago I wrote a solar cooking cookbook, so I'm always on the hunt at cooking baking websites for new ideas and recipes for a follow-up cookbook.
Most of my funds for cooking baking are directed at the latest solar cooking methods, whether they're stoves or pots and pans, but this oil core skillet has me so intrigued. The product description says that one can cook with it without using oil or water which is also the hallmark of solar cooking, and it would be nice to get the same results with cooking in the house that solar cooking provides. Once I get it, I'll whip up some of my favorite solar cooking recipes and do a taste test. If it cuts the mustard, I'll recommend it to my fellow solar cooks so they can enjoy the same delicious food on cloudy or windy days.
I'm really glad that I found oil filled skillet. I wouldn't go back to any other kind of heating for the house so if this pan cooks half as well as the radiant oil heaters work, I'll be cooking up a storm in this skillet for a long time to come.
