Here's a great cold weather drink.  You can make this with or without alcohol and it is just as delicious with decaffinated coffee as with the regular stuff. Just be sure to start with strong coffee.  There are a lot of strong flavors and weak coffee can get lost in the mix.

Basic Recipe for Mexican Coffee -
    2 cups water
1/4 cup coffee grounds (ground coarsely)
    1 table spoon brown sugar
    1 cinnamon stick

  1. Place all ingredients into a sauce pan
  2. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes (Yes, boil it all together!)
  3. Strain  into mugs

Now, this is good, but I like to add a twist of orange rind and some fresh nutmeg to this as well.  Piloncillo is the Mexican sugar that is used in the original recipe.  Use it, if you can find it.  It is also very good to top these mugs off with some good whpped cream and shaved chocolate for a desert version.  Cream Drinkers, how about a little scoop of your favorite vanilla ice cream?

Liquors that go well in this cofee are Kahluah (About a half a shot) and Tewuila (a full shot),  Brave people use both.
