cookbook

A friend of mine got married a couple years ago, the same year my oldest brother remarried. In fact their weddings were a week apart, same day no less. Well one day I happened to be looking at books, and found a cookbook that I didn't have to think twice about adding to my cart. I browsed around some more before going back to my cart and changing the quantity from one to two, because my friend's shower was coming up. I figured I'd give her the cookbook with something else, but I didn't know what else to give her at that moment.

I waited until I saw her gift registry to figure out what I would do exactly, for her shower present. I knew I wanted to incorporate the cookbook I ordered earlier but I wasn't sure if I could pull off what I suddenly had in mind. I didn't have a lot of spare cash at that moment because I had made some changes to my wardrobe around that same time. So my shower gift was going to be on the lower side of the price scale, I was thinking somewhere around $20 for the additional items. After looking at her registry and realizing most of what I was going to buy was taken, I decided to stray a bit, buy her some baking items that were on the list but already taken, so that I could pull off my baking themed gift set, using the cookbook as a starting point. She loved it!
